The Digital Media Content Creator at Patria Church helps shape a clear, compelling voice across every communication channel. This role creates continuity across our website, social media, email, marketing materials, and emerging platforms. The goal is simple. Capture the life of the church with excellence. Help people move from visiting to belonging. This position actively creates content and brings it to life through thoughtful scheduling and strong presentation. The Digital Media Content Creator supports Patria’s social platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and any new platforms we use to engage our congregation and community. This role produces written, visual, and spoken media for both internal and external audiences. The Digital Media Content Creator helps build strategy and structure. This includes posting rhythms, content calendars, and campaign schedules for weekly services, departments, special events, conferences, and multi campus communication. This role also identifies and captures powerful stories of life change. It helps translate those stories into digital moments that point people to Jesus and share what God is doing through the gospel. This position requires disciplined scheduling and consistent execution. It also requires clear communication with ministry teams, volunteers, Lead Pastors, and Executive Leadership. The Digital Media Content Creator protects Patria’s online presence with care. It brings creativity, professionalism, and timeliness to every post, project, and message. The Digital Media Content Creator reports directly to the Lead Pastor.
Work Schedule and Daily Rhythm
The Digital Media Content Creator works a full time rhythm that combines creative production with structured planning, primarily on weekdays with periodic weekend coverage for services and key moments. Early in the week focuses on alignment, content planning, and gathering assets. Midweek is the main production block for filming, editing, writing, and scheduling. End of week is for final reviews, approvals, and preparing weekend content, with flexibility during special events and seasonal pushes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Model the spirit of Patria Church’s guiding scripture, Ephesians 3:14–15, by building a church community that supports and strengthens families. Foster faith, worship, and belonging across every ministry and campus.
Fulfill the four pillars of Patria Church. Christ (Mission Christ-Centered Driven), Community (Diversity Kingdom Driven), Character (Leadership Discipleship Driven), Commitment (Family Driven) church.
Embrace and execute a Neighborhood Groups philosophy of ministry, fostering community, discipleship, and connection across families and campuses.
Digital Media Creation & Content Production:
- Captures photography and video during services, baptisms, events, conferences, Kids & Youth, outreach, and worship environments to visually communicate the life of the church.
- Produces short-form video, reels, and social media content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and additional platforms Patria Church adopts.
- Writes clear, compelling captions and messaging that reflect the voice, culture, and spiritual mission of Patria Church.
- Creates graphics and visual assets using creative tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or approved design platforms.
- Edits video content for highlights, testimonies, sermon snippets, and promotional material.
Planning, Scheduling & Platform Management:
- Builds and manages social media calendars, posting schedules, and campaign timelines. Using planning tools such as Meta Business Suite, Planoly, Trello, or similar scheduling platforms.
- Posts content at strategic times for highest engagement and reach.
- Coordinates weekly content needs with ministry departments to ensure timely communication. Before events, registrations, and major services.
- Tracks post performance, engagement, reach, and effectiveness using analytics tools to improve future content.
- Stays current on social media trends, new features, and emerging platforms to strengthen digital engagement.
Storytelling & Testimony Capture:
- Identifies and captures compelling stories of life-change, baptisms, salvations, and testimonies.
- Conducts interviews and gathers information to ensure accuracy and impact.
- Shares stories through written captions, visuals, and video content that point people to Christ and invite them from visiting to belonging.
Team Collaboration & Communication :
- Communicates clearly and respectfully with the Lead Pastor and ministry departments regarding timelines, project status, and creative needs.
- Works collaboratively with the Photography, Production, Broadcast, Kids, Youth, and Worship Teams to gather and share content.
- Participates in creative meetings, volunteer huddles, and service preparation to ensure alignment and readiness.
- Demonstrates flexibility and a positive attitude when supporting high-volume ministry seasons, conferences, and special events.
Volunteer Development & Leadership :
- Supports and empowers volunteers serving in photography, media, or social content roles.
- Helps train volunteers on equipment use, capture technique, and storytelling guidelines.
- Builds a welcoming, team-oriented creative environment for volunteers to grow in skill and confidence.
Character: Demonstrates humility, integrity, and consistency in every area of leadership. Leads by example and sets the spiritual and cultural tone for the team through servant leadership, accountability, and Christ-centered decision-making. Education, Training, and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- College coursework in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field preferred.
- Experience creating social media content for a brand, ministry, school, business, or organization.
- Familiarity with major platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.
- Experience using creative and editing tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, CapCut, or similar programs.
- Comfortable using planning and scheduling tools such as Meta Business Suite, Planoly, Trello, or equivalent systems
- Experience in photography and video using smartphones, DSLR cameras, or basic media
Job Skills, Knowledge, Abilities
- Strong creative skills with the ability to take photos, film video clips, edit content, and write
- captions for social media.
- Ability to plan ahead, build weekly content calendars, and schedule posts consistently across platforms.
- Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills for digital communication and team collaboration.
- Comfortable speaking with ministry leaders, volunteers, and Lead Pastors to gather information and share project updates.
- Capable of organizing multiple tasks, meeting deadlines, and maintaining a fast and consistent posting pace.
- Willingness to learn new tools, digital trends, storytelling styles, and production methods.

Organizational and Spiritual Requirements

- Member of the Patria Church (or willing to transfer membership to Patria Church).
- Pastors are required to attend all regularly scheduled Sunday and Wednesday church services. Support staff must attend at least one (1) regularly scheduled weekend church service.
- Attendance at all mandatory meetings and events. This includes serving at Good Friday, Easter, and Christmas services as well as the annual volunteer appreciation event.
- Regular involvement in Patria Church activities, ministries, neighborhood groups, and events.
- Tithe 10% to the Patria Church.
- Demonstrate full alignment with Patria Church’s Statement of Faith and core beliefs as outlined in the Employee Handbook, on the official website, and through consistent practice in ministry, leadership, and daily life.

Physical Requirements
